How to Apply for Pension Online via Diia.Sign: Step-by-Step Guide.

The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has informed that Ukrainians can apply for a pension remotely, without visiting the Pension Fund of Ukraine. To do this, you need to use Diia.Sign - a simplified analog of the qualified electronic signature (QES).
Necessary Steps Before Applying for Pension
Before starting the online pension application procedure, you need to:
- Download and install the 'Diia' mobile application on your smartphone
- Activate the Diia.Sign service in the app
- Prepare scanned copies of the necessary documents that should:
- be scanned from originals
- have a clear and readable image
- be saved in JPG or PDF formats
- not exceed the size of 1 MB for each file
- have names corresponding to the type of document
Steps for Submitting the Application
To apply for pension remotely through the PFU web portal, follow these steps:
- Authorization on the web portal:
- Open the PFU electronic services web portal (
- Click 'Login' in the upper right corner
- Select the option 'Log into the system' via 'Diia.Sign'
- Click 'Get code for login'
- Scan the QR code using the 'Diia' app on your smartphone
- Confirmation via Diia.Sign:
- Confirm authorization on your smartphone
- Activate Diia.Sign
- Pass the identity verification by photo
- Enter a five-digit code (remember it for the first use)
- Submitting the Application:
- In your personal account on the PFU web portal, go to the section 'Regarding Pension Provision'
- Select the tab 'Application for Pension Appointment'
- Select the required type of pension (by age, by length of service, etc.)
- Complete the survey form
- Add the prepared scanned copies of documents using the 'Add file' button
- Click 'Generate application'
- Completing the Procedure:
- Sign the application using Diia.Sign
- Send the application by clicking 'Sign and send to PFU'
- Track the status of the application in the 'My Appeals' section
Thus, you can completely apply for a pension remotely, without visiting the offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
