Fuel Prices at Gas Stations: How the Cost of Gasoline, Diesel, and Auto Gas Changed Over the Month.

Retail fuel prices in Ukraine have changed only slightly
According to the "A-95 Consulting Group", in September 2024, the retail price of gasoline and diesel fuel in Ukraine almost did not change, while the price of auto gas increased.
As of September 30, the average cost of A-95 gasoline is 56.57 UAH per liter, which is 0.02 UAH less than a month ago. Diesel has become cheaper by 0.08 UAH and costs 52.77 UAH per liter. Auto gas has significantly increased in price and costs 32.92 UAH per liter, which is 4.05 UAH more.
The main reason for the price changes was the increased fuel excise duty from September. Excise rates on gasoline increased from 211.5 to 242.6 euros, on diesel - from 139.5 to 177.6 euros, and on auto gas - from 52 to 148 euros. It is predicted that this will lead to an increase in gas station prices by 1.50 UAH per liter of gasoline, 1.95 UAH per liter of diesel, and 5.8 UAH per liter of auto gas.
However, the director of "A-95" Sergey Kuyun noted that a decrease in world oil prices could lead to a decrease in retail fuel prices. It is worth noting that world oil prices are a key factor influencing fuel costs in Ukraine, as the country almost completely imports fuel. Late September brought a decrease in the price of Brent crude oil by 9 dollars, to about 71 dollars per barrel.
