CPD warns about DeepSeek: what the Chinese artificial intelligence model threatens.

Chinese artificial intelligence is used for gathering intelligence data
Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, noted that the DeepSeek chatbot, which operates on the basis of artificial intelligence, is a 'great tool' for gathering intelligence data. He stated that artificial intelligence 'studies you and collects all information about your experiences, interests, family, finances, and practically everything else.' Kovalenko also emphasized that people voluntarily use this chatbot, ask questions, and receive answers, while the intelligence stores this information. This allows for the creation of behavioral models of societies and the development of influence tools. However, Kovalenko noted that who exactly controls this artificial intelligence and what its ultimate goal is remains open questions.
Recently, it was reported that the DeepSeek chatbot from a Chinese startup became the most popular free application in the USA, surpassing the American ChatGPT.
Moreover, following the release of the update for the Chinese DeepSeek-R1 chatbot, it was reported that the richest people in the world lost at least $108 billion due to the decline in major market indices.
By the way, the company Perplexity AI, which is engaged in the development of artificial intelligence technologies, made a proposal for a merger with TikTok service, which involves the creation of a holding company NewCo.
