On the anniversary of Bucha's liberation, the National Police reported how many Russian crimes have already been solved.

Ukrainian investigators of the National Police have uncovered 72 murders committed by Russian soldiers in Bucha, Kyiv region. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to the press service of the National Police on the third anniversary of the city's liberation from the Russian invaders.
The National Police also identified the identities of 2,500 Russian soldiers who were in Bucha and identified over 100 Russians who committed war crimes.
34 Russians have been notified of suspicions, and 24 indictments have been sent to court, the press service of the National Police reports.
Recall that the Russian army entered Bucha on February 27, 2022. In 33 days of occupation, the Russians committed over 9,000 war crimes and killed more than 1,400 civilians, including 37 children. In the Bucha district, 1,190 bodies were found, but this figure is not final.
'Glavkom' also reported on Russian Nikolai Kartashov, who is being tried for war crimes committed in Bucha. Kartashov served in the 76th Air Assault Division of the Russian Federation and is one of the few Russian soldiers being held accountable for these crimes. He confessed to his guilt and named the names of his accomplices who shot at Ukrainian civilians.
It was also noted that the idea of creating a new memorial in Bucha has received criticism. People point out that this project, although interesting, takes away resources that could be used for rebuilding shelters and housing in the city, where the war with the Russian Federation is still ongoing.
