Sergiy Yuran, a former footballer of Kyiv's 'Dynamo' and now coach of the Turkish club 'Serik Belediyespor', expressed his disappointment with the attitude towards veterans in Russian football. According to Yuran, great players like Kiryakov, Kolivanov, and Kanchelskis do not receive the recognition they deserve in Russia, and their experience remains unacknowledged.

'I have spoken about this many times. We need to have self-respect... Why this is happening is not a question for me,' noted Sergiy Yuran.

In addition, the material referred to Mira Andreyeva, a Russian tennis player who supports the pro-Putin organization 'People's Front,' which is under sanctions for supporting Russian occupiers and conducting propaganda activities. Among her acquaintances in the organization are athletes Anton Yendzhievsky and Mykola Olunin.
