The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on Trump's words about the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region.

General Staff: Ukrainian troops are not encircled in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially refuted the information about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. According to military command, such reports are deliberately spread by the Russian side to exert political pressure on Ukraine and its international partners.
According to the operational report from March 14, 2025, the combat situation in the operational zone of the 'Kursk' military grouping remains stable without significant changes over the past day. Ukrainian defenders continue to perform defined tasks in the territory of the Kursk region.
The military leadership reports that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have carried out a tactical regrouping and retreated to more advantageous defensive positions. In the new positions, Ukrainian troops effectively repel the enemy's offensive actions and inflict fire damage using all available types of weapons.
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the current day, 13 combat clashes have been recorded in the Kursk direction. The military command categorically denies the existence of any threat of encirclement of Ukrainian units in the region.
