Cold weather will persist: The meteorologist explained where to expect night frost and daytime rain.

Weather forecast
According to meteorologists, a cold air mass from the northern latitudes is currently holding in Ukraine. This leads to unstable spring weather with frosts and rains. Natalia Ptukha from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported that this weather will persist further. Rain will be periodic, and frosts are possible, especially at night.
'This is all influenced by the cold air mass from the northern latitudes. This influence mainly affects the western regions. Partially, it may be somewhere in the northern and central regions.'
The next atmospheric front will pass on Thursday, May 15, and bring slightly more precipitation. The air temperature at night will range from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, and during the day - from 10 to 15 degrees. It will be warmest in the south and east of the country, where temperatures may reach 18 degrees.
Atmospheric front and precipitation
Atmospheric fronts lead to periodic light rains across Ukraine due to reduced atmospheric pressure. Moderate rains are expected in the western regions and light rains in the northern and central regions. In other areas, there are currently no precipitation.
Experts predict unstable and changeable weather, and starting from May 15, precipitation will become more intense. This is related to an active atmospheric front from the northwest.
Earlier, the meteorologist warned about weather anomalies in the summer of 2025.
