World boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk expressed his vision of 'Polissya' team's chances in the match against 'Shakhtar' in the semifinals of the Ukrainian Cup. Usyk noted the strength of 'Shakhtar' and urged 'Polissya' to play at a high level, regardless of the strong opponent.
Additionally, the athlete announced that he has signed a contract with 'Polissya' and is ready to play for this team in 2023.
Schedule and venue of the matches
The tournament directorate has approved the schedule for the semifinals of the Ukrainian Cup for the 2024/2025 season. One of the matches will be held between 'Bukovyna' and 'Dynamo', and the second match will be between 'Polissya' and 'Shakhtar'.
Furthermore, the UAF Executive Committee decided to hold the final match of the Ukrainian Cup on May 14 at the Central Stadium in the city of Zhytomyr.
