Yaroslava Mahuchikh won a gold medal at the tournament in Belgium.

The competitions in high jump took place in Liège as part of the 'bronze' stage of the World Athletics Continental Tour. The Ukrainian athlete, Olympic champion and world record holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh, participated in them.
As a result of the tournament, we learned that Mahuchikh became the winner of the competition, reported 'Suspilne Sport'.
Mahuchikh's Terrible Victory
During the competitions, Mahuchikh did not demonstrate her best jump of the season, but it was enough for her to share the first place with American Charity Hafnagle.
Seven athletes competed, and Hafnagle was the main rival of the Ukrainian, holding the 16th position in the world ranking. Mahuchikh began her performance at a height of 1.91 m, which she cleared on her second attempt, skipped 1.94 m but failed to clear the bar at 1.96 m.
Hafnagle also cleared the bar at 1.91 m but could not manage 1.96 m. The bronze medal was awarded to Michaela Gruba from the Czech Republic (1.86 m).
The result of 1.91 m was the worst for Mahuchikh in medal starts since June 2022, when she finished fifth in Stockholm (1.89 m).
This summer, the Ukrainian won two silver medals at the Diamond League stages in Stockholm and Paris, only finishing behind Nicola Olyslaagers.
Mahuchikh's next start will take place on July 19 at the Diamond League stage in London. There, she will compete alongside Yulia Levchenko, who finished second in Italy on July 15 with a result of 1.97 m.
During the 'bronze' stage of the World Athletics Continental Tour in Liège, Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh became the winner of the high jump competition, sharing the first place with American Charity Hafnagle. Even without showing the best result of the season, Mahuchikh managed to demonstrate her professionalism and confidently endure in the contest. This victory became an impetus for the Ukrainian's future performances, particularly at the upcoming stages of the Diamond League in London.Read also
