Mobilization bypassing TTC: Ministry of Defense commented on the initiative.

The authorized representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on recruitment issues, Oleksiy Bezhevets, positively assessed the initiative of conscripting reservists without involving Territorial Recruitment Centers (TTC). According to him, this will simplify the conscription process into the army and make it more controllable.
"This is a very correct initiative because it generally simplifies the process of involving people in the army. It can be done faster, simpler, more controllably," Bezhevets noted. He also mentioned that the services of recruitment centers will remain in demand, as they provide a full list of vacancies and the opportunity to choose a unit.
Proposals for changes in the conscription procedure
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has developed proposals for changes in the conscription procedure during mobilization. The goal of these changes is to simplify the process of attracting citizens, give commanders the opportunity to select motivated personnel, and allow reservists to choose positions by related civilian specialization.
The deputy commander of the 3rd separate assault brigade, Maksym Zhorin, also supported this initiative. He believes that it will reduce the Time of processing and bureaucratic procedures, as well as decrease the level of corruption in the TTC. Moreover, it will allow a person to really choose a unit and specialty, not just declaratively.
However, Bezhevets also noted that this initiative requires additional time for full implementation. Currently, the system operates as before.
