Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces demarche to Mongolia over Putin's visit.

Ukraine expresses its disappointment with Mongolia for refusing to arrest Putin
On September 12, Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its dissatisfaction with Mongolia during a meeting with a representative of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ukraine expressed its deep disappointment that Mongolia, a signatory of the Rome Statute, refused to execute the arrest warrant for Putin. The warrant was issued by the International Criminal Court when Putin was on Mongolian territory.
Ukraine emphasized that such actions would not go unanswered. They stated that this decision by Mongolia would be taken into account in Ukraine's future policy towards relations with them and in forming Ukraine's position on supporting Mongolia in international formats. Ukraine hopes that Mongolia will take constructive steps to restore friendly relations with Ukraine, which are in the interests of both countries.
