Explosion at German chemical plant:
Today, July 29, an explosion occurred at Germany's largest chemical plant BASF, resulting in 14 people being injured. This was reported by Bild.
According to the company, the explosion and fire occurred around 12 noon at the plant in Ludwigshafen. Currently, the plant's fire brigade is working at the scene.
As a result of the incident, 14 employees suffered minor injuries and are under medical supervision.
The city authorities and fire service issued a warning about the danger due to the release of combustion products. Residents of Ludwigshafen and nearby settlements are advised not to open windows and doors.
The plant reported that a slight excess of hydrocarbons was detected on the plant's territory and surrounding areas after the explosion, but there is no danger to the population.
Recall that last week in Mexico, an explosion occurred at a tequila plant, resulting in at least five workers' deaths.
