NBU showed how many loans for energy infrastructure were approved by banks.


From June to October 2024, banks received more than 2,900 applications from businesses for financing projects aimed at restoring energy infrastructure, with a total amount exceeding 66 billion UAH.
Applications amounting to 11.7 billion UAH have already been approved by the National Bank of Ukraine (agreements signed and those being prepared for signing).
The total volume of loans related to the energy needs of legal entities amounted to 3.4 billion UAH, according to a survey of 20 banks conducted by the National Bank.
In October, 443 applications amounting to 11.5 billion UAH were submitted, of which 1,699 applications amounting to 3.9 billion UAH were approved and 267 loans amounting to 1.56 billion UAH were issued.
The total generation capacity financed by business loans is about 310 MW (considering 85% of the portfolio).
The largest amounts have been spent on gas piston cogeneration units (122 MW), diesel and gasoline generators (100 MW), and solar power plants (83 MW). Projects are being implemented in 21 regions of Ukraine.
In addition, banks also provide loans to the population. In October alone, 1,000 loans with a total amount of 176 million UAH were issued to citizens. The total volume of loans related to the energy needs of individuals increased to 366 million UAH.
