NBU sets record for currency sales at the end of the year.


NBU sold over 1.6 billion dollars and did not buy currency
From December 23 to 27, the National Bank of Ukraine sold 1 billion 625.9 million dollars on the interbank market, while not buying currency.
The NBU sold 1625.9 million dollars, which is 208.3 million dollars more than last week. This is also the highest figure for the year. Meanwhile, the National Bank did not buy currency, as reported by Ekonomichna Pravda.
Over the past three weeks, the National Bank sold more than 4 billion dollars.
Overall, since the beginning of the year, the National Bank has sold 34.6 billion dollars, while buying 126 million dollars.
On October 2, 2023, the National Bank announced the transition from the fixed exchange rate regime. Starting from October 3, 2023, the official dollar exchange rate began to change - for the first Time since July 2022.
