Germany may switch to "international financing" of Ukraine's needs.

The German government will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine for as long as necessary. This was stated by the spokesman for the German Ministry of Finance, Fabian Leber. He emphasized that the German government wishes to support Ukraine so that it can defend itself against Russian aggression.
Leber also responded to a question about the German budget project for next year. He explained that from 2025, it is planned to switch to international financing of aid to Ukraine beyond a separate budget item. The international financing instrument was agreed upon in June at a G7 meeting and work is currently underway to implement it.
Leber noted that credit funds will be transferred directly to Ukraine’s budget, and Kyiv will be able to use them at its discretion. However, he added that in case of urgent need, the Ministry of Finance is always ready to consider additional requests.
