Ukrainian military personnel are trained in Germany using tanks from museums
Ukrainian military personnel training in Germany have the opportunity to learn how to deal with mines and traps used by Russian soldiers. This was reported by Reuters.
The commander of the EU training mission for Ukraine, Lieutenant General Andreas Marlow, stated that instructors from 17 countries conducted training for more than 18,000 Ukrainian military personnel who were in Germany. They taught Ukrainian soldiers how to operate modern tanks and air defense systems, as well as imparting skills to snipers, engineers, and medical staff.
Marlow mentioned that the Russian side uses museum equipment and occasionally sets traps inside abandoned vehicles.
"The use of such vehicles during training facilitates the demonstration of where to be cautious so as not to trigger an explosion if you find them on the battlefield and open the doors," he explained.
The training command refused to disclose the origin of these tanks and their quantity used during the training.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning the training of Ukrainian military personnel in the United Kingdom as part of the multinational training operation INTERFLEX.
