Russian troops launched an attack on the Sumy region on Monday, July 7. The attack was aimed at a critical infrastructure facility, reported the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grygorov, on Telegram.

'The Russian army struck at a critical infrastructure facility in the Sumy district,' Grygorov said.
As a result of the attack, parts of the region were left without electricity. Restoration work is currently underway.
The company 'Sumioblenergo' reported that there may also have been power outages in Sumy due to the Russian attack. Details are not disclosed for security purposes.
Currently, specialists are working intensively to restore electrical distribution in every home.
'Please maintain information silence and do not spread photos and videos of the aftermath of the strikes and any other data that may help the occupants adjust their strikes and draw conclusions about the state of the energy system,' Sumioblenergo added.
