Autumn brings adjustments: how prices for tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers changed in September.


Vegetable prices in Ukraine
Vegetable prices in Ukraine have noticeably changed compared to August 2024. Specifically, there has been an increase in the prices of tomatoes and cucumbers, while bell peppers have significantly decreased in price this autumn.
"Khvilya" conducted an analysis of current average prices and average monthly indicators based on data from "Minfin".
Tomato prices
All types of tomatoes have significantly increased in price. Red tomatoes have increased by 21.61 UAH, reaching 81.30 UAH per kilogram. The price of pink tomatoes has risen even more significantly, by 30.91 UAH, reaching 84.90 UAH per kilogram. "Vershka" tomatoes have also increased in price by 10.89 UAH, with their average price now being 64.75 UAH per kilogram.
Cucumber prices
Regular cucumbers have increased in price by 7.49 UAH, reaching 72.69 UAH per kilogram. Meanwhile, smooth cucumbers have decreased in price by 7.92 UAH – down to 82.87 UAH. Long cucumbers have maintained their price at 84.99 UAH. Spiny cucumbers have significantly dropped in price – by 19.32 UAH, reaching 72.90 UAH per kilogram.
Pepper prices
Yellow bell peppers have shown a decrease in price. Their average price has decreased by 23.36 UAH and now stands at 126.58 UAH per kilogram.
