Pension of 390 thousand hryvnias: it became known who receives record payments.

The government of Ukraine has established new coefficients for the calculation of special pensions of high amounts. This applies to certain categories of citizens who receive more than 200 thousand hryvnias every month. Privileged categories are challenging these changes in courts, as they believe that their payments are no longer valid.
According to the telethon 'Unified News', former regional people's deputy Serhiy Kivalov has successfully challenged his pension and receives over 200 thousand hryvnias per month, which is more than 17 times the minimum pension. His pension was increased due to his salary as the head of a private university in Odesa.
'We have a certain, we can even say a caste of people who constantly receive much more. They demand substantial increases for themselves through the courts under laws that are no longer in effect today,' experts explain.
In order to reduce inequality, the Cabinet of Ministers has established new coefficients for the calculation of special pensions for citizens who receive pensions exceeding 10 living wages. These changes will allow saving almost a billion hryvnias of budget funds per year.
However, the pension payment system in Ukraine needs further development and regulation, as it creates inequality among different categories of pensioners. Large pension payments to officials, especially judges and prosecutors, may create a negative impression of the justice system and contribute to the spread of corruption.
Analysis
The introduction of new coefficients for the calculation of special pensions is a step in the right direction to reduce inequality in the pension payment system. However, this reform requires further development and regulation of pension payments in other areas to ensure a fairer system for all pensioners.
