Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today, let's remember Alla Yatsyuk.

The hero's heart stopped on April 13, 2022, in an Odesa military hospital from a disease that developed during the defense of Ukraine. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Stories of Fallen Defenders of Ukraine.

Alla was born in the village of Kуна in the Vinnytsia region. She actively sang Ukrainian folk songs and participated in school concerts. After finishing school, she graduated from the Haysin Medical College and worked in her specialty. In her free Time, she loved to grow flowers, photograph, paint, and embroider.

In 2016, Alla decided to enlist in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a contract basis. She worked as a combat medic in the 9th battalion 'Vinnytsia Scythians' of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handziuk.

Later, the battalion command offered her to head the canteen. Together with the unit, she was constantly in the ATO/JFO zone. Among her comrades, she was nicknamed Vasylivna.

In the field conditions, Alla set up mobile kitchens, arranged temporary facilities for the canteen and food storage, cooked food, and ensured the transfer of food to the front lines.

From the beginning of the war, Alla was on the front lines in Kherson. As the head of the canteen, she helped extract supplies and preserved the food, equipment, and property allocated to the 9th battalion.

In the Kherson steppes, she fell ill but continued to work and organize meals for the fighters. On March 20, 2022, on her 45th birthday, Alla was hospitalized. She was diagnosed with pneumonia due to the coronavirus. She died in intensive care a month later.

'Allyochka, our dove, extremely kind, sincere, hardworking, gentle, and yet so strong. She loved life so much, worked hard to make the world around her better, truly loved Ukraine, giving her life for it. We lost a part of our heart; it constantly bleeds,' said her sister Olga.

Alla was buried in the village of Kryshtopivka in Vinnytsia region.

At home, her daughters Tetiana and Svitlana, two little granddaughters, Maharyta and Kira, elderly mother Nina Pylypivna, and sisters Oksana and Olga were waiting for her.

'Glavkom' joins the moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the fight for their homeland. We remember those killed by Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in mourning during a nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state - all military personnel, civilians, and children, all those who died in the struggle against Russian occupiers and as a result of the invasion of hostile forces into Ukrainian cities and villages.
