The difference is almost threefold: how prices for chicken and pork have changed in supermarkets.


Analysis of the pricing policy of the meat market in Ukraine
According to the Minfin portal, the Ukrainian meat market is assessed as of December 13, 2024. The analysis showed that there are several price segments for the sale of chicken and pork.
Chicken fillet remains a premium product with an average price of 174.00 UAH per kilogram. For example, the Megamarket chain offers its branded fillet 'Nasha Ryaba' for 242.00 UAH per kilogram.
Prices for different parts of the chicken also vary. Chicken drumsticks cost an average of 78.00 UAH per kilogram, while whole chicken carcasses are priced at around 85.60 UAH. However, the branded product 'Nasha Ryaba' is slightly more expensive.
Prices for pork and lard
There is also a complex pricing structure in the pork market. The most expensive part is the neck, with an average price of 284.55 UAH per kilogram. The Auchan and Novus chains offer these products at premium prices.
Comparative price analysis for November 2024 indicates the stability of the meat market. Chicken fillet continues to be a premium product, while pork maintains a stable price position across various stores.
