The Ukrainian defense continues to resist Russian invaders

The Ukrainian defense in the Sumy region continues to resist Russian invaders who are trying to expand the combat zone along the border. This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.

According to the border guard representative, the situation in the Sumy direction remains tense. Special attention is being paid to the areas of Basivka and Zhuravka, where the Russian enemy is actively using small assault groups to penetrate Ukrainian territory.

'We see that they are trying to expand the area where we periodically detect attempts by such groups to enter,' Demchenko noted, describing the tactics of Russian invaders.

The spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service also spoke about a new method of penetration - Russians are using ATVs for quick advancement into Ukrainian territory and further expansion of the combat zone.

According to Demchenko, these groups consist of several to five individuals. Russian troops conduct shelling using various types of weapons and cover the actions of small assault groups.

In response to a question regarding the potential buildup of Russian forces near the border, Demchenko stated that the RF army does not station troops directly at the border, which indicates attempts to hide them and avoid reconnaissance detection.

Analysis of the situation in the Sumy direction

The situation in the Sumy direction continues to remain tense, the enemy is actively trying to expand the combat zone. Russia is using a new method of penetrating Ukrainian territory - ATVs. The number of small assault groups being used to strike is increasing. Currently, the RF army does not station troops near the border to conceal its intentions.
