Investigator explained how Russia influences other countries.

Russian special services use their cultural centers around the world for espionage and influence on the politics of other countries. Investigative journalist Anatoly Ostapenko states that this has become a dangerous weapon that Russia uses in various countries, including Europe and the former Soviet Union. This is often conducted through cultural programs and joint projects that influence people's opinions and views.

«Culture. They breed centers of Russian culture where entire generations are raised, and these people are then tried to be recruited. Plus, this is often informal diplomacy. They have a plethora of organizations working under the roof of the special services – for example, the 5th service of the FSB, which deals with foreign policy connections, creates agent networks in European countries and the former Soviet Union. We talked about how they invested in far-right politicians, for instance in Germany,» says Anatoly Ostapenko.

One example of the influence of Russian special services in Germany is mentioned by public figure Amram Petrosyan, who actively cooperated with deputies of the party «Alternative for Germany». This contributed to lobbying for the lifting of sanctions against Russia. According to the expert, recruiting such agents has ideological and financial character, and is also based on the conspiratorial beliefs of people.

The Russian special service also actively uses encroachments on the life and work of far-right politicians and special agents in various countries. They create families, study and get involved in influential positions to be able to influence political and military leadership.

Anatoly Ostapenko also points to the possibility of Russian special services working with the political leadership of the USA. This is done through informal diplomacy and lobbying, as well as through financial interests of the American side. Ostapenko emphasizes the need to be aware of this fact and take measures to prevent Russia's influence on the internal affairs of other countries.
