Sikorski explained why Poland refused to send peacekeepers to Ukraine.

The Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated that Poland does not wish to provide additional arguments for Russian propaganda, which accuses Poland of intending to seize part of Ukrainian territory.

'Russian propaganda is currently accusing us of wanting to enter Ukraine and share it with them... The introduction of Polish peacekeepers into Ukraine will become an element of mobilization of society in Russia itself, and we do not want to give Russian propaganda this argument,' Sikorski emphasized on Rmf24 radio.

When asked whether the absence of Polish peacekeepers would complicate Polish business participation in Ukraine's post-war reconstruction, Sikorski replied that Poland 'will be the biggest beneficiary' of the recovery process due to its geographical proximity, established logistical ties, and the determination of Polish entrepreneurs.

The minister also added that it would be unfair to link the issue of reconstruction with the presence of peacekeepers, as Poland has provided the most assistance to Ukraine relative to its GDP.

Regarding the exhumation of Polish victims in Ukraine, Sikorski noted that this process should begin in April. 'We hold our Ukrainian allies to their word. They have already understood that they need Polish society on their side,' he emphasized.

The Ukrainian ambassador in Poland, Vasyl Bondar, in turn, reported on Polish radio that the exhumation of Polish victims in Puzhnyki, Ternopil region, is scheduled for April 27-28. According to him, information on permits for exhumation in other places is expected soon.
