History of the Canyon's Creation
Buki Canyon was formed 2 billion years ago after the splitting of the Ukrainian crystalline shield.
This mountainous region stretches for 2.5 km and has a height of 30 meters. It resembles Scandinavian fjords more than Ukrainian highlands.
Many tourists come here to raft on the river, engage in rock climbing, and jump from cliffs.
What to See in Buki Canyon
Here lies one of the first hydroelectric power stations in Ukraine, which started its operation in the 1920s but is now abandoned.
It is also worth visiting the abandoned water mill, dating back to the 19th century, the Vyr waterfall, Lysakova rock, Rodionova rock, and the Buki Stonehenge.
Buki Canyon, located on the Girskiy Tikich River, is included in the list of the 100 most beautiful places in Ukraine.
