US provides new aid package worth $375 million: what Ukraine will receive.


The administration of US President Joe Biden announced the provision of additional defense assistance to Ukraine. This aid includes the sanctioning of a $375 million package.
According to the Biden administration, this security aid 'ensures that Ukraine will have the necessary tools to win the fight against Russian aggression'.
The White House explained that this includes 'sanctioning a Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) package of $375 million,' to provide Ukraine with additional capabilities 'to meet the most pressing needs'.
This package includes ammunition for rocket and artillery systems, armored vehicles, and anti-tank weapons, the White House reported.
The aid includes:
- air-to-surface ammunition;
- ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
- 155 mm and 105 mm artillery ammunition;
- Tube-launched, optically-tracked, wire-guided (TOW) missiles;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
- M1117 Armored Security Vehicles;
- Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles;
- light tactical vehicles;
- armored bridge systems;
- small arms;
- patrol boats;
- explosive equipment and munitions;
- spare parts, support equipment, services, training, transport.
The White House also noted that this is the 66th tranche of equipment provided from the Department of Defense stockpile for Ukraine since August 2021.
