American diplomats developed a plan for Ukraine
The main outcome of the diplomatic negotiations was the preparation of a comprehensive document with conditions for ceasing the conflict in Ukraine. The package contains 22 specific proposals, including a 30-day ceasefire along the entire front line, preservation of civilian shipping in the Black Sea, and ensuring the security and defensive capabilities of Ukraine.
Putin threatens with the use of nuclear weapons
In a recent statement, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready for a logical conclusion to the war in Ukraine, even mentioning the possibility of using nuclear weapons. At the same Time, there are hopes for reaching a peace agreement that would satisfy all parties to the conflict.
The American administration rejected the possibility of a meeting between Trump and Putin due to the lack of steps from Russia towards a ceasefire; instead, steps towards resolving the conflict were a result of the Chinese leader's visit to Russia.
