Trump's team explained who is disrupting the minerals agreement between Ukraine and the USA.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the agreement on resources in Ukraine did not sit well with certain individuals who control the budget and oligarchs. He made this statement in an interview with American blogger Tucker Carlson.
'US Treasury Secretary: You know who in Ukraine dislikes the resources agreement? People with their hand in the treasury. Because we would regulate the flow of money,' Bessent stated.
However, Bessent continues to support the option of the agreement proposed by the American side and hopes for its signing.
The minister also explained how the negotiations regarding the agreement took place. According to him, the agreement should be viewed as part of US President Donald Trump's peace plan. This agreement will show the Russian leadership the US's attitude towards Ukraine and emphasize US economic interests in Ukraine.
Bessent also reported that he personally brought the draft version of the agreement to Kyiv in February and had an active discussion with President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, Zelensky was not ready to sign the agreement that day.
The minister emphasized that this agreement is beneficial for both parties and is not a 'predatory Chinese agreement.' It will ensure that the money reaches the American and Ukrainian people. Bessent expressed hope for the signing of the agreement and emphasized that it will be a win-win situation.
A Ukrainian technical team is expected to arrive in the USA for negotiations regarding the agreement.
It should be noted that Ukraine insisted on changing the minerals agreement and increasing American investments.
