Ukraine is starting to use an electronic form for issuing permits for the import of military goods and dual-use items. According to the Ministry of Economy, commercial organizations that are already using the IKSER Stratlink system will now be able to receive the permit document immediately after it is signed by the head of the State Export Control in their electronic office. The permit will also be sent to the Unified State Information Web Portal 'Single Window for International Trade'. Thus, there will be no need to wait for a paper version. 'From the very beginning of the project, over 250 organizations have joined the system, and many of them actively use the service, submitting 15 to 35 applications for the import of critically important goods for the front. The online format allows working 24/7 from anywhere in the country, reduces the number of mistakes due to process automation, and now also ensures rapid receipt of permits. From May 1, the ability to obtain permits for the import of military goods and dual-use items in electronic format will be added,' said the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Vitaliy Kindrativ. Among the advantages of this innovation: instant receipt of the permit after its signing; the ability to familiarize oneself with the document and conditions in advance; reduced risk of mistakes due to the capability to verify the document and report any inaccuracies. It is planned to convert all permitting documents in the field of export control into digital form by the end of 2025.
