Ukrainians to lose some payments in 2025: who will be affected and why.

Some payments for Ukrainians will be canceled in 2025.
The public organization 'IDPs of Ukraine' announced the cancellation of some payments starting from March 1, 2025, as part of the state program 'Shelter'. This program provides monetary compensation to citizens who provide housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs). However, changes in conditions may lead to the loss of financial support for some program participants.
Compensation may be canceled if:
- IDP has been abroad for 30 days;
- The Pension Fund received information that the IDP has not lived at the specified address for more than a month;
- the settlers received housing three months prior to applying for compensation;
- The Pension Fund found false information.
Compensation will be allocated for six months with the possibility of automatic extension after a check. Homeowners will receive 450 hryvnias per month for each internally displaced person. Payments will be made monthly based on information about the number of IDPs residing in the premises.
It is worth noting that support does not apply in the following cases:
- if the settlers are close relatives of the first degree;
- if the settlers receive a housing rental subsidy;
- if the homeowner has debts for utility services.
