The Polish government has developed new proposals to strengthen the accountability of professional drivers who violate tachograph usage rules.
According to the draft of the new law, the maximum number of years for which a person can be deprived of their driving rights for serious tachograph violations will increase from three to five. In Poland, this punishment is considered one of the harshest in the country's legislation.
This punishment could become one of the strictest provisions in Polish legislation regarding road safety.
The changes are aimed at improving road safety and discipline among professional drivers, especially those engaged in international transport. If the proposed bill is approved, the new rules could come into effect soon.
It has also been clarified what leads to differences in drivers' salaries in Poland and Ukraine.
