"Ukrenergo": The Russian Federation has expanded attacks on electricity distribution facilities.

Russia has changed its tactics in attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure
Russia has expanded its targets for strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, focusing not only on the main line facilities of NEC "Ukrenergo" but also on the electricity distribution systems of local energy companies. This was reported by Oleksii Brekht, the acting head of "Ukrenergo," during the Kyiv International Economic Forum.
"For various reasons, particularly because we are better prepared today, we have insurance reserve stocks, a professional team of people who quickly restore our facilities, so the focus of the strikes has spread to us and the distribution system facilities," Brekht said.
According to Brekht, in recent months, the distribution system operators' facilities have been significantly damaged, leading to local energy supply problems in the regions. However, specialists are making maximum efforts to promptly restore electricity supply.
Despite this, the Ukrainian energy system has demonstrated resilience. According to Brekht, as of November 7, the system has been operating without electricity supply restrictions for 52 consecutive days, and internal generation is sufficient to meet consumer needs.
