El Pais revealed what guarantees Zelensky is expecting from the West.

Zelensky expects security guarantees from allies to end the conflict
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, expects clear and effective security guarantees from allies to end the conflict and ensure peace in the region. Ukraine's accession to NATO is the most reliable option, but this path is blocked due to resistance within the Alliance. However, there are other options, such as sending European peacekeepers to Ukraine along with Western weapons and a US defensive shield. A senior European official emphasizes the need for negotiations that could end the conflict sooner than expected. Allied leaders believe Ukraine must determine its victory, the conditions for peace, and how to ensure them, including European peacekeepers.
US President Donald Trump also wants to achieve peace, but from a position of strength. He supports providing Ukraine with weapons and permission to attack Russian targets. However, the EU's perspective on the situation has changed, and they are now considering the possibility of negotiations and security guarantees.
Despite this, most allies currently consider a step-by-step approach to be the most optimal, where peace must first be achieved, and then measures must be taken to ensure it. Europe also needs to increase its military support, but it has faced political problems and limited budgets.
Ukraine is in a critical situation and needs the support of its allies to ensure security and defend its interests.
