Ukrainians abducted by Russia during the war. The Prosecutor General's Office reported a shocking figure (documents).

The Prosecutor General's Office reported that as a result of the invasion of Russian occupiers, over 15,143 civilians were abducted. Among them were Ukrainians of various professions and statuses, such as journalists, volunteers, clergy, deputies, civil servants, and entrepreneurs.
Only 171 civilians have been returned as a result of exchanges, as Russia does not acknowledge the illegal detention of Ukrainians and does not provide information about their whereabouts.
Hostages are being released very slowly and chaotically, using them as political leverage. International organizations do not have access to the captives. The priority is to return the most seriously injured, critically ill, women, and individuals detained since 2014.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Russian Federation ordered employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service to treat Ukrainian captives cruelly. There are 30 journalists and 30 members of military orchestras in captivity in the Russian Federation. Among the captive musicians are well-known talents.
