The Theft of Andy Warhol's Paintings. Suspect Detained in the Netherlands.


A suspect has been detained in the Netherlands for an explosion in a gallery and the theft of Andy Warhol's paintings. A 23-year-old man was detained following searches in several cities. Law enforcement discovered an explosive device during a search in Den Bosch. The location of the stolen paintings remains unknown.
The robbers attempted to steal four paintings from the Reigning Queens series by artist Andy Warhol. The explosion they caused damaged the gallery and nearby buildings. The stolen works were not successfully taken, as the thieves managed to grab two paintings from their frames and left the rest on the street.
