Volodymyr, stop! Trump reacted to the brutal shelling of Kyiv.

U.S. President Donald Trump condemned the recent Russian strikes on Kyiv and urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to cease military actions.
He published a corresponding statement on April 24 on his social network Truth Social.
'I am dissatisfied with the Russian strikes on Kyiv. It is unnecessary and very inappropriate. Volodymyr, STOP! 5000 soldiers die every week. Let's make a peace agreement!'
This statement was made in the context of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's efforts to achieve a ceasefire. Zelensky, on an official visit to South Africa, emphasized the need for reliable security guarantees.
Zelensky stated: 'We do not want a frozen conflict that may restart in a year or two. We want strong participants among the guarantees who are not afraid of Russia and have influence over it. These should include the USA, European countries, and strong alliances.'
According to Zelensky, the relevant initiatives from the USA are currently being considered by President Trump. He also emphasized that the ceasefire must be a prerequisite for any negotiations.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also supported Ukraine's position, stating that the initiative for a ceasefire without preconditions is the first step towards peace and a pathway to peace negotiations.
