NATO Membership During Wartime: Political Technologist Analyzed Ukraine's Chances.

Ukraine may become a NATO member during the war with Russia when part of its territories is occupied. This would be a signal to Putin that continuing the war against Ukraine is futile. This opinion was expressed by political technologist Oleh Posternak in the FREEDOM TV program.
Mark Rutte, having taken the position of Secretary General, stated that NATO has obligations to Ukraine, and not only Ukraine before joining NATO. This has sparked new thoughts about Ukraine joining NATO with territories under Kyiv's control
Posternak emphasized that former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and others have previously expressed the idea of Ukraine joining NATO without the occupied territories.
The political technologist believes that such a step could be an episode for ending the Russian-Ukrainian war. However, he adds, the conflict has a historical nature, and as long as Putin has the desire to carry out his "historic Russia" project, he will not end the war. However, Posternak believes that the West can hint to Russia that if it does not stop the war, Ukraine will gain long-range capabilities and be able to join NATO.
A key decision regarding Ukraine's accession to NATO could be made after the presidential elections in the USA, adds Posternak.
