Ukrainian Found Dead with Gunshot Wound in Romania
Early in the morning of August 31, in Romania's Botoșani county near the border with Ukraine, a 26-year-old Ukrainian was found dead with a gunshot wound. The police have started investigating the circumstances of the man's death. This is reported by News.ro.
Around eight o'clock in the morning, a signal was received from a man in George Enescu, Botoșani, who reported a dead Ukrainian citizen in his house. The police arrived at the scene and began the investigation. It turned out that the Ukrainian had come to Romania a few days ago and had agreed with the house owner to stay in exchange for work around the house.
On Saturday morning, the owner found the dead body of the Ukrainian with a gunshot wound to the head. A hunting weapon was found next to the body.
The Botoșani police reported that investigative actions are being carried out at the scene to determine all the circumstances of the incident. A criminal case has been opened for murder and violation of weapon storage rules.
According to a News.ro police source, the deceased man had illegally entered Romania with another Ukrainian, and they were living together. It is currently unknown where the second man is and whether he is a suspect in the investigation.
Recently, a 46-year-old Ukrainian man died from injuries in a refugee shelter in the German city of Rostock.
In Murnau, southern Germany, an unknown person inflicted fatal stab wounds on two Ukrainians. The suspect was detained, and according to the police, he is a Russian. The murdered Ukrainians were military personnel.
