Ukrainians shown tariffs for electricity from June 1: how much they will have to pay for electricity.

The government extended the electricity tariff for the population until 2025
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend the current electricity tariff for the population at the level of 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour until the end of October 2025. This means that the price for electricity for citizens will remain unchanged for almost five years.
Special conditions are provided for owners of two-zone meters, who will be able to take advantage of reduced tariffs at night. The cost of electricity from 23:00 to 07:00 will be 2.16 hryvnias.
Also, for users of electric heating from October 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025, a reduced rate of 2.64 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour is provided if electricity consumption does not exceed 2000 kWh per month.
In January, the government made a decision to soften the tariff approach for such consumers. According to the updated rules, the preferential price of 2.64 UAH applies to volumes that do not exceed the established limit, while for electricity consumed above this indicator, the full price must be paid.
Analysis of the news
The government's decision to extend the electricity tariff for the population is important for citizens of Ukraine. Fixed prices will help people plan their utility expenses practically two years in advance. The introduction of benefits for owners of electric heating will help reduce their costs during the cold period.
Given the significant increase in water supply tariffs, the stability of the electricity price may affect the financial situation of citizens, especially those who use electric heating. It is important to carefully monitor the dynamics of utility tariffs and look for opportunities to reduce household costs.
