Power outages from December are possible even with generation recovery: important conditions.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, former head of NPC "Ukrenergo", stated in an interview with "Economic Truth" on September 9 that even if all plans for restoring generating capacities are fulfilled, power outages in winter are likely.
Kudrytskyi claims that avoiding outages is possible only under the condition of an exceptionally warm winter with temperatures from +5 to +15 degrees and without new attacks on the energy infrastructure from Russia. But he considers this scenario unlikely.
"I believe that in cold weather there will be outages, even if all plans for generation recovery are completed," Kudrytskyi emphasized.
The expert predicts that power supply restrictions may begin in December since November is usually not characterized by severe frosts. He emphasizes that cold weather will be the main factor in imposing power consumption restrictions.
Kudrytskyi also adds that with temperatures above zero, Ukraine can manage without outages. However, during prolonged frosts, for example, with an average daily temperature of -10°C, he does not see the possibility of completely replacing the power deficit.
Let us remind you that power outages have been restored in Ukraine: where schedules will be applied on September 12.
