On July 14, at Trafalgar Square in London, world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk will present the recreated mosaic 'Boryviter'. The original artwork, created by artist Alla Horska and her colleagues in Mariupol, was damaged during the full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022.

The world tour of 'Boryviter' has been organized by the Ukrainian marketplace ROZETKA in collaboration with the Oleksandr Usyk Foundation, the public organization UKRAINE WOW, and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The London presentation will be Usyk's first public event ahead of his fight against Daniel Dubois.

Ukrainian artist Alla Horska and her team created the mosaic 'Boryviter' in 1967. The stela was a landmark in Mariupol. Three years after its opening, Alla Horska was murdered by Soviet special services. In 2022, during the siege of the city, the panel suffered serious damage.

This year, the mosaic was recreated and presented in Kyiv. The project involved 15 artists and researchers, including Anastasia Lelyuk, Olya Chykalo, Inga Levi, Tamara Turyun, and others. The project was led by Olena Zaretska, the granddaughter of Alla Horska, and cultural manager Nastya Ishchenko.

The panel was assembled from over 700 kg of materials from various corners of the world: smalt, tiles, metal plates, and even aluminum spoons.

Additionally, within the project, a second copy of 'Boryviter' was created. It was divided into 1250 fragments, which could be purchased by anyone interested. The pieces of history sold out in a day, raising over 4 million hryvnias. The funds were directed towards the restoration of the only Kyiv mosaic by Alla Horska — 'Viter', as well as for organizing the world tour.

We remind you that we have told the dramatic life story and repressed death of Ukrainian artist Alla Horska. Recently, Ukrainian composer Ihor Poklad passed away.

Oleksandr Usyk will present in London the recreated mosaic 'Boryviter', which was created by artist Alla Horska in Mariupol but was damaged during the Russian invasion in 2022. This unique artistic canvas is a symbol of the struggle and restoration of Ukrainian culture, and its recreation and promotion contribute to raising funds for restoration and the world tour.
